Frequently asked questions

A HydraFacial is a revolutionary skincare treatment that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection simultaneously, resulting in clearer, more radiant skin. Using cutting edge technology, the HydraFacial device will gently exfoliate your dead skin cells and extract impurities while bathing the new skin with hydrating serums. It can also be combined with light therapy to decrease lines and any redness further. As the HydraFacial device is customisable, it can be tailored to address your specific skin concerns, giving all patients fresh, glowing skin.

Plus, it’s not just the complexion that can be targeted. HydraFacial Syndeo can also help ageing hands look younger, clear up a congested, or acne covered back, and even support natural hair growth. It can increase scalp circulation to provide you with more hair volume.

Unlike traditional facials that can leave the skin red and irritated, a HydraFacial offers a gentle alternative that provides immediate, glowing results. One of the standout benefits of this treatment is its ability to deeply cleanse and exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells and impurities that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Additionally, the infusion of hydrating serums and antioxidants helps to nourish and protect the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and revitalised. Any puffiness or redness you’ve been experiencing should also be decreased, thanks to the lymphatic benefits of the treatment.

A HydraFacial treatment usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes to complete and involves several steps. First, the skin is cleansed and exfoliated to remove dead skin cells and impurities. This is followed by a gentle acid peel to loosen dirt and debris from pores without causing irritation. Next, a painless suction is used to extract impurities from the pores, ensuring a deep cleanse. Finally, the skin is infused with hydrating serums tailored to your specific skin needs, leaving it glowing and refreshed. The entire process is non-invasive and requires no downtime, allowing you to return to your daily activities immediately after the session.

A common result is the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, thanks to the deep hydration and nourishment provided. Additionally, it helps to unclog pores and remove impurities, leaving your skin looking clearer and more radiant. Lips can appear lightly plumped and hydrated afterwards, while the outer eyes can appear brightened, toned and firmed as a a result. Many patients have also reported a more even skin tone and reduction in hyperpigmentation. Overall, a HydraFacial can give you a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance.

You can expect to see an improvement in your skin’s texture and hydration after just 1 session. However, the number of HydraFacial treatments you will need to fully achieve your aesthetic goals may vary. Patients with specific skin concerns, such as acne or hyperpigmentation, might require more frequent sessions initially, often spaced a week apart. For general maintenance and to achieve a radiant, healthy complexion, we may suggest a treatment every 4 to 6 weeks. Patients aiming to reduce fine lines and improve skin texture might start with a series of 3 to 6 treatments, followed by monthly maintenance sessions. Dr Taj will be able to give you a better idea of how many sessions you’ll need to achieve your individual goals when she meets you for your consultation and has had a chance to examine your skin.

2. Your Treatment

A gentle cleansing to remove surface impurities will be followed by a mild acid peel to shed dead skin cells. The third step involves extraction, where a vacuum-like device unclogs pores. Following this, the skin is hydrated with intense moisturisers. Finally, it is protected by the application of antioxidants and peptides.

3. Your Aftercare

We’ll recommend you avoid direct sun exposure for at least 48 hours afterwards and refrain from using any exfoliating products or treatments for a few days to prevent irritation. Keeping your skin hydrated is also essential by using a gentle moisturiser and drinking plenty of water.
