Dermal fillers work by injecting a gel-like substance into the skin, which helps to plump up the area and smooth out the lines. The main ingredient of these fillers is hyaluronic acid which soaks up water under the skin. Fillers can also be used to lift and contour the droopy mouth corners, restoring a more youthful and vibrant appearance. Our clinician uses premium brand Juvederm fillers for more reliable results.
For marionette lines, the filler will be injected along the lines that extend downwards from the corners of the mouth. This will help to lift and plump the skin, reducing the appearance of these lines. As for the pain associated with the procedure, it is generally minimal, but our clinician will offer the option of applying a topical numbing cream before the injections, to further reducing any discomfort.
Treatment involving injecting dermal fillers usually takes 30 to 60 minutes.
The results of this treatment are immediate, but as there may be some initial swelling or bruising, you’ll see the true results within a few days. Your new look without should last 6 months to 1 year.
