Dr ST Medical Aesthetics Clinic

Reduce the symptoms of hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis causes excessive and uncontrollable sweating, which can significantly impact a person’s quality of life. Botox injections can stop excess sweat by blocking the nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands. Whether you experience excessive sweating in areas such as the armpits, hands, feet, or face, Botox treatments can provide relief and improve overall comfort and confidence for anyone struggling with this condition.

Frequently asked questions

Hyperhidrosis is a medical condition characterised by excessive sweating beyond what’s necessary for normal body temperature regulation. People with hyperhidrosis often experience profuse sweating that can soak through clothes or drip from their hands, significantly impacting daily activities and social interactions. This can happen at any time, even when it’s not hot and they’re not exercising.

Botox works by blocking the nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands, effectively reducing sweat production in targeted areas. We use premium Allergan brand for reliable results.

It takes only about 20 to 30 minutes to administer.

You should notice that you’re feeling a bit drier within 3-4 days after treatment. After 2 weeks, your excessive sweating symptoms should be hugely reduced.

To maintain the relief from your symptoms, you’ll need a top up treatment every 3-6 months.

2. Your Treatment

The affected area, which is typically the underarms, palms, or soles of the feet, will be marked for injection points. A small amount of Botox is injected into the skin using a fine needle. The procedure is relatively quick and usually takes around 20-30 minutes to complete.

3. Your Aftercare

One important aspect of aftercare is to avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for a few hours after the procedure. We also recommend you avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, or hot baths for the first 24 hours.
