Laser hair removal

Dr ST Medical Aesthetics Clinic

Permanently remove unwanted hair

Traditional hair removal methods can be time-consuming, painful, and can lead to ingrown hairs and skin irritation. Laser hair removal provides a long-lasting solution that targets the hair follicles and inhibits their future growth. This means that individuals no longer need to spend valuable time and effort on regular hair removal routines. It can effectively address excessive hair growth in unwanted areas, which can cause self-esteem and confidence issues for many people. We use the cutting edge  Candela Gentle Max pro plus device, whose lasers penetrate different skin layers for better hair removal coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Laser hair removal is a procedure that offers long-lasting hair reduction. This innovative treatment uses concentrated light beams to target and destroy hair follicles, inhibiting future growth. The process is effective on various areas of the body and face, and suitable for most skin types.

It offers long-lasting results and significantly reduces hair regrowth, saving you time and effort on frequent shaving or waxing. It also removes the expense associated with these products. Plus, due its precise and targeted nature, hair will be removed from the desired area, leaving surrounding skin unaffected.

The laser hair removal procedure time takes approximately 15 to 90 mins depending on the size of the surface area that’s being treated.

This treatment is permanent. Once you’ve had a course of sessions to remove hair from an area, the regrowth can be reduced by as much as 80%. It’s worth bearing in mind that hairs grow in cycles and that only hair in their active growing phase can be targeted. That’s why multiple sessions are needed.

Multiple treatments are required due to the nature of hair growth. A minimum of 10 sessions will be recommended for optimal results. For face treatment we recommend 4 weekly sessions, for body treatment we advise 4 to 6 sessions weekly. For women with hormonal issues like PCOS, maintainence treatments will be required as hormones can stimulate new growth of follicles. For everyone else, once regrowth has been reduced enough, the treatment results should be permanent.
