Lip fillers

Dr ST Medical Aesthetics Clinic

Achieve your ideal lip look

Lip fillers can address thin or uneven lips. By injecting fillers into the lips, they can be enhanced and made to appear fuller and plumper, creating a more balanced facial look. Additionally, lip fillers can help with asymmetry issues, where one lip is noticeably smaller or differently shaped than the other. Essentially, lip filler treatments offer a versatile solution for many lip-related concerns.

Frequently asked questions

Lip fillers are injectable cosmetic treatments designed to enhance lip volume and shape. They contain hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. When injected into the lips, the filler adds volume, creating a plumper, more defined appearance. The procedure works by attracting and retaining moisture in the treated areas, resulting in fuller lips. Effects are temporary, usually lasting several months.

The process involves small injections, with a numbing agent applied beforehand. Our clinician will prioritise your comfort throughout the quick procedure, ensuring any discomfort is brief and manageable.

Just 30 to 60 minutes is usual.

Results are often visible immediately after treatment! However, the full effects often don’t emerge until 1-2 weeks afterwards to allow for any swelling to subside.

Lip fillers typically provide a plump, youthful look for 6-12 months before gradually wearing off.

1. Your Consultation

She will then examine your lips, taking note of their shape, volume, and overall condition, with a view to discussing appropriate lip filler options, potential risks and side effects.

2. Your Treatment

The dermal filler will be injected into specific areas of the lips using a fine needle or cannula. Our clinician then carefully shapes and contours the lips to achieve the desired volume and symmetry.

3. Your Aftercare

Our lip fillers aftercare guidance includes avoiding touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 24 hours, as this can cause the filler to shift or spread unevenly. We’ll also advise you to avoid consuming hot or spicy foods, as well as alcohol, for a few days following the treatment.
